Tis The Season

This Christmas was very special to me. It is the first Christmas in over 10 years where our entire family has gotten together. My Brother Chris and his wife Bodell along with Presley flew here from Colorado. Nik & Shannon and Grandma Ward all came in from Ventura and Grandma Michaud came in from Michigan. It was amazing to have Cash and Presley together for Christmas.
My Brother Chris turned 30 on Christmas Day. The entire family was able to celebrate this milestone.
My Mom, Grandma Michaud, Chris, Bodell, Presley, Cash, Geoff and I all went to church Christmas Eve. It was an amazing service. We love dressing the kids up in their Sunday's Best. After church the kids decorated cookies for Santa.

Cash and Presley are in the kissing phase...There was plenty of wet smooches going around no one was deprived.

Boat Parade

Our family participates in the Huntington Beach Boat Parade. Steve decorates his boat with lights and we tour the harbor. It is spectacular to see the homes and huge boats all done up in different themes each year. We took the boat our two times this year. Once with Lynne and her girls and then other time with my family. Cash loved being on Grampa's boat and seeing the other boats all light up. It's a wonderful tradition I am happy he gets to grow up experiencing.

Fun at Nana's

I some times get bummed out that I have to work and Cash doesn't get to stay with me all day. Then I remember, he's with my Mom...Who could be better then me?
I wouldn't receive these little gems in my email and these pictures would have never been taken...It makes me working worth it, well not really but I keep telling myself that.

Almond Roca

Every year we make Geoff's Mom's amazing Almond Roca. Cash was able to participate this year. He thought he was such a big boy holding his wooden spoon "helping" Daddy stil the roca until it gets to just the right tempature. It was so cute to see them in the kitchen, Linda would have loved it.

Patience

Cash has never been entertained by the TV. Believe me, I have tried and tried for cleaning sake to get him to sit and watch something. However, we bought a few $5 movies at target for the future. He loved the Bee movie. He was really paying attention and reacting, it was so cute. FINALLY he is mellowing out.

Cash's First Tree/Aquarium with Grampa

We decided that our children would always have a live tree in their room way before we had kids. Last year Cash was too young to appreciate the experience. This year, we took Cash to get his first tree. He was excited to have it in his room. Not to mention the fact Geoff had to have a train that goes around the tree. Cash was so excited he squealed with joy when he saw the lights and train all together. We are excited to see his joy grow each year as he understands Christmas more and more.
After the joy of a new tree we decided to go to the Aqurium of the Pacific. Grampa mentioned in passing he would love to go with us some time so we called him and he came. Cash hadn't been to the Aquarium in a while so it was all new to him, he was excited to show his Grampa everything.

Cabo Family Trip

The entire Sargent/McCain Families took a trip to San Jose Del Cabo November 3-8. We stayed at Cabo Azul which is an amazing resort Steve and Lynne have a time share at. We had a wonderful time going to Shipwrecks Beach with Sharon and Craig Fairbanks (who have an incredible home in Mexico)
Cash loved the beach so much. We took him on the dune buggy and the quad. He squealed with joy and I cringed in slight fear of how fast Geoff was driving.
We had a huge dinner at the Fairbanks. Kylie, Tim, Chris and Mr. & Mrs. Anderson were there as well. It was an amazing trip.

Riding His Harley

Cash is really good with figuring things out. We bought him the power wheels Harley Motorcycle for his first birthday because I thought it was something he could grow into rather then grow out of quickly. We didn't anticipate him figuring out how to make it go so quickly. Here he is in all his riding glory.

Halloween Time

Geoff & I took Cash to my parents house to trick or treat. There are so many kids and we know all the neighbors. He had so much fun going up to their doors, ringing the door bell (currently his favorite thing to do) and get to pick his treat. He was so cute in his green dinosaur costume, made by me :) (patting my own back haha). Nana dressed up like a witch and helped Cash go door to door. He had a blast.

His very first sucker.

Cash's Friend Birthday Party

We held Cash's Friends Party at our house. Since his birthday is so close to Halloween we decided it would be fun for him (and his friends) to be able to wear their costumes more then once. After making Cash's costume, believe me I wanted him to wear that thing out. I had never really sewn before, so this was quite the challenge, and I loved doing it. We held it in our side yard and decorated with orange and black Polk-a-dots, we hung lanterns from the tree branches and it was a lot of fun planning. After 3 days of attention on him, Cash was over it by cake time. Thank God Caden Lentine was there to save the day. He climbed up the side of Cash's high chair and started eating the cake, which got Cash interested. It was the most hysterical thing ever, so sweet and innocent. Thank you Caden, I cannot wait till you boys are older and share this story.
Cake all over his face, he loves cupcakes now.
From left and going clockwise: Kaden Weed, Cash aka Birthday Boy, Rory Fox, and Caden Lentine.

Even our adult friends dressed up. Bethany & Kevin Sheehan were a bun in the oven (She is pregnant and due early March) and the baker. Vanessa Lentine was a hen, Caden was a baby chick and Nick was the farmer. Sammy Ascher & Dustin Mudd were rockers. Wendy Taylor was Mini Mouse and Ryan Hunt was a train conductor. Melissa Hays was a flower (beautiful and so creative) Geoff was DJ Lance Rock (boarder line inappropriate with the pants sooo tight) and I was a kitty.

We have the most amazing friends in the world and our lives would not be the same without each and everyone of you who came...Love you!
Also, thanks to Orkideh and Aralan for helping out so much.

Family Birthday Party

We held Cash's Family Party at my parents house. (our house is too small) 25 family members were able to join us. Cash is a lucky boy! We threw him an Angels Baseball themed Party. Geoff's sister "Smooch" made Cash's birthday cake as well as the cupcakes for everyone else, homemade, YUM! She also helped me make adorable centerpieces using ball display cases and baseball cards. Cash loved all the attention, he was such a ham for pictures.
We are so blessed to have such a great (HUGE) family and everyone locally. My brother Chris and his family in Colorado were missed as well as GG Michaud. We thank everyone for coming to celebrate Cash's FIRST Birthday.

Our Birthday Boy

I cannot believe our son is a year old. I cried when he turned 6 months and now that he is a year I am besides myself. My parents have always said your children grow up so fast you wonder where all the time went. I can say that now...WHERE DID ALL THIS TIME GO?! Cash woke up super sweet I caught him first thing (rubbing his eyes) and we gave him his birthday gift. A Power wheels Harley Motorcycle. Geoff and I took him to Denny's to order him his first "real" meal. He ate pancakes, eggs, and bacon. He loved all of it, especially his first taste of real cow milk in a big boy cup.
After breakfast Nana, GG, Grampa & Grammy all came over to take Cash to the San Diego Zoo. He was in HEAVEN! I being naive thought he would take his nap on the ride down or the stroller, NOPE, he refused to sleep. He was so excited to see the monkeys, elephants, cheetahs, etc. He was such a good boy. We all had an amazing time together.
We had a artist at the zoo use Cash's hand print to make a picture...

Irvine Park in October

We took Cash back to Irvine Park. They decorate the park seasonally so it was Halloween theme. Geoff's sister "Smooch" and brother-in-law "Unkle" came with us. We had so much fun together.

Cash loved looking at all the pumpkins
He especially loved having his Smooch there. She is who he wanted all day. He kept showing her things and wanting to cuddle. I love seeing him so affectionate, melts my heart.

Tanaka Farms

Geoff & I were so excited to take Cash to the pumpkin patch for the first time. Last year, he was way too little to go or appreciate it. He instantly fell in love and wanted to run around like a mad man. We have never been to Tanaka Farms and it is an amazing place. Cash played with a wheel barrel and in typical Cash fashion, threw a tantrum when it was time to move on. He loved picking out his own pumpkin and was so proud when he found one. After we got his pumpkin, we took him to the petting zoo. Cash is such an animal lover and ran after the goats and sheep. He even gave hugs to the pets.

My 27th Birthday

Geoff & Cash started my 27th. Birthday off with a beautiful Brighton Charm bracelet. Then after work, we went to Shogun, my favorite restaurant. Cash loved it, they cook your meal right in font of you. He was a bit unsure of the fire when the chef made the volcano. It was a great birthday with my family.

He loves kisses

His Will

Cash is probably the most stubborn, strong willed child I have ever been in contact with. I love my son very much but he sure tests our patients from time to time. If we tell him no, he does it even more or he now throw tantrums and whines. I hope he keeps his determination and it leads to great things however I am sure we are in for a long, bumpy road ahead of us. I am excited to see the man he is destined to become.
I have to stop giving him my keys to play with because he doesn't know how to give them back with out throwing a fit.

Concert at the Lake

We are members of Lake Mission Viejo and every summer they have a series of concerts at the lake. Our weekends are usually very busy and leave no time to attend these. However, the Doors (Minus Jim Morrison, of course) were going to be playing and we had to see them. We decided to bring Cash as it would be a fun family event he loved every minute of it. The weather was perfect and we watched the sunset as the music started it was beautiful on the lake. We cannot wait to bring him to another concert.
