Geoff and I took a 5 day trip to Chicago to visit our good friend, Eric. It was our first trip without Cash and I'd never been away from him for more than 48 hours. I was a bit uneasy about leaving but decided with baby #2 on the way we better get out of dodge before we no longer can. We had an amazing time, my morning sickness had FINALLY subsided (literally 2 days before our trip).
Having Eric there as a tour guide was amazing. We ate lots of yummy food from gourmet grilled cheese at "Cheese's" to awesome BBQ. The boys drank lots of great beer and mixed drinks while i had water. We went on an architectural boat tour through the river and got to go into Lake Michigan. We went to a Cubs game and sat through a 4 hour rain delay. It was an intense rain/thunder.lightening storm. We stayed the entire time soaked but still enjoyed every minute of the game. We walked all around downtown Chicago, visited the Buckingham Fountain (Married with Children Fountain), we saw the "bean" and got stuck in yet another rain storm. We also went to the famous Shedd aquarium. It was such a great vacation for Geoff and I and it will probably be one of our last solo vacations for quite a while.
