After MONTHS and MONTHS of searching and struggling with the housing market we finally found, bought and moved into our first "HOUSE". We sold our condo a few months ago and moved into my parents house to A. Save Money and B. No lender would accept an offer contingent on the sale of our condo. It was challenging to live back with my parents, not because they did anything but be gracious hosts but because we were so use to it being only us. With all that being said we were so happy to finally have the keys to our new home and move in. Within minutes of having the keys, Geoff already had knocked a hole in the wall to build the fireplace bigger. The painters are painting the whole house and we can move our stuff in.

Cash's Words at 21 Months

At Cash's 12 month doctors appointment his Dr. said by 18 months he would be able to understand 90% of what we were telling him. Then by 21 months he should be able to communicate to where we would understand him. Looking back I was very skeptic. Tomorrow Cash will be 21 months (SOOOOO sad it's gone by so quickly) and everything she has told us has been 100% true. Here are a few of the words Cash uses:

Cash wakes up each morning saying either Tractor, Milk or Juice. He goes to bed each night after prayer saying Amen. It's incredible the words he picks up and the understanding he has of each word. I love to watch him put words together to tell me something. The other day he says "Momma, Outside, No, Sun, No, Pool, No" He was telling me that he couldn't go outside in the pool because the sun wasn't out. I was blown away.

First Bee Sting

Our poor baby had his first bee sting yesterday. He was playing at the pool with Nana and stepped right on a bee. My Mom called me shortly after, he was crying of course, but not because the bee had stung him but because he wanted back in the POOL.

I felt horrible for him (having recently been stung myself) I felt it was only necessary to buy him presents. He got two tractors (which are his latest obsession), a set of Hot-Wheels cars and an Elmo doll. His Dr. also recommended having him put an ice pack on his sting. Cash loved the Elmo ice pack so much he kept saying "Elmo" and giving the ice pack kisses. Here he is basking in all the attention.

Our Wedding Album

I have never dealt with anything more stressful in my life as finishing our wedding album. I am going on 3 years of marriage and have just now (almost) completed this album. Our photographer compiled a book for us however our package only allowed 26 side (13 pages) and we would pay an additional $100.00 per side. Lets just say to fit our whole wedding day into the book they wanted almost $4,000.00 more. I took the free book and have never loved it, there are just too many pieces of our day left out. I knew I would make my own using a website. I just didn't think it would take almost 3 years to complete. First Swim Lesson

Cash had his first Swim Lesson yesterday! I was nervous as to how he would react to the water and another person taking him in. He did amazing. He cried for a bit, Mr. David was able to calm him down to focus. We are so proud of Cash and hopefully next summer he can start to really learn to swim. Wishful thinking, I know.

Mothers Day 2011

Mother's Day was an amazing day. This is my second year celebrating with Cash. Being his Mother is the most incredible privilege I have ever received. He is a smart, outgoing, fearless boy who keeps me on my toes, and I couldn't be happier about all of that. Our day started off by going to Church. We meet Steve & Lynne and had flowers for Lynne for Mother's Day. It was an amazing service. We hadn't made plans that day so we decided to take Cash to the Aquarium of the Pacific. It was more crowded than I expected but still so much fun. Cash hadn't been there in a few months so it was all brand new to him. He ran around and loved looking at the fish. I was such a happy Momma and my day was simple and amazing.

Coley's NCL Senior Presents

Geoff's cousin Coley just had her National Charity League's Senior Presents. I have to say it was amazing. I never knew anyone that did NCL growing up. These girls start doing their Charity work Freshman year throughout High School. It is an amazing organization. The cutest thing is they wear wedding gowns and are presented to their Mothers/Fathers as adults. I hope some day to have a daughter and have her participate in NCL.

First Baseball Game

Our good friends Wendy & Ryan invited us to go to the Angels Game. It was Cash's FIRST baseball game! Geoff had been dreaming of this day since we found out Cash was going to be a boy.

Cash was so excited to see everything. He was amazed by all the people and noise we were surrounded by.

Geoff's sister, Amanda was at the game with her Hubby and friends and took Cash for a while so they could enjoy his first game with him as well. As you can tell he Loves his Aunt Smooch.

We had been curious about how Cash would react at his first game. We assumed he would get bored and we would have to leave half way through. He was so happy/excited he sat through the entire game. We cannot wait to take him to his second game!!!!

Taylor/Olson Wedding

Nick & Lisa were married at the Turnip Rose in Costa Mesa March 26, 2011. Geoff and I were honored to both be in their wedding and share in their day. The wedding and reception were both beautiful. We are so happy for the new Taylor family and wish them a life time of love and happiness.

Golfing

Geoff and I were talking to a guy at church about Cash and his interest in sports. The guy said "get that kid a pair of clubs" so what did Geoff do? Drove straight to Nevada Bobs and bought Cash an entire set of new toddler (METAL!) golf clubs. After we went home and they practiced. I am terrified of these clubs finding their way into my home. I can imagine all the damage a 1 1/2 year old can create. God help my house in the future with these things
